istockalypse
I am about to leave for the first day of istockalypse Barcelona, a four-day photo fest at various locations around this amazing city. It will be the first time I get to meet Bruce, the force behind istockphoto, even though we’ve known each other through virtual channels for the better part of five or six years.
I’ve been contributing to istockphoto since it first started, but I’ve never really done any model shots. It’s been nothing but hobby shots and landscapes for me. This time, I’m stepping up into shooting professional stock images of people. I’m kinda excited I guess. This was my primary justification for the 5D, and I really hope the pictures I end up with end up paying for the camera. The outcome from this will determine if I simply continue as a hobbyist, or go on to actually getting serious about photography, and make the next step up into using professional lighting, or at least investing in a reflector.
I have to admit I am certainly curious about how it all turns out.
